16 oz mason jars, or storage containers
Ingredients
1/2cupold fashioned rolled oatsbe sure to purchase gluten free oats for gluten sensitivities
1tbspchia seeds
1/2cupfrozen or fresh berries(any berries will work!)
1/2 cup nut milk or water
Optional Toppings:
unsweetened coconut flakes
maple syrup
sea salt(recommend!!)
cinnamon
pumpkin seeds
nut butter / peanut butter
fresh fruit
Instructions
Layer oats, chia seeds, berries and milk/water in 16 ounce mason jar (or storage container).
Cover and shake until everything mixes together. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
To prepare to eat:
Heat in the microwave or stove-top in the morning. Once heated, pour into a bowl (optional) and add your preferred toppings. My favorite way to eat these oats are topped with unsweetened coconut flakes, raw pumpkin seeds, maple syrup and sea salt. :)
Notes
To heat:Microwave- warm for about 1 minute. Do not heat plasticStove-top (my preferred method): pour into a pan and warm for about 5 minutes. Note: You will most likely need to add more liquid to your oats in the morning.
